We are thrilled to announce the official release of Kumander Linux 1.0 "Sisig", the very first stable version of the project. This release marks a fundamental milestone: the consolidation of an operating system designed to offer a warm and familiar experience, combining the robustness of GNU/Linux with an aesthetic and workflow that are approachable for newcomers. A milestone that celebrates the sustained effort of the entire community, from early testers who reported issues during the alpha and release candidate phases, to contributors who helped shape the documentation, translations, and overall identity of the project. With this stable release, Kumander Linux opens a new chapter focused on long-term support, regular maintenance updates, and a growing ecosystem of tools tailored for everyday users and professionals alike.

WHAT'S NEW IN VERSION KUMANDER LINUX 1.0 FINAL

• When pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL, there is now an option to quickly open the System Monitor.
• Added five click-to-install suggested applications (identified by a greyscale icon with a green plus sign) to the start menu.
• Upgraded LibreOffice from version 7.4.6.2 to 7.4.7.2, bringing improvements and fixes to the office suite.
• Added DBeaver CE 23.1.0, a universal database manager widely adopted by the community.
• Added Insomnia 2023.2.2, an open source API client and design platform for GraphQL, REST, and gRPC.
• Updated the Welcome Screen to reflect the latest information about the system.
