Kumander Linux 3.0 "Goldfinch" Release Candidate 2 gathers the feedback collected during the RC1 testing phase and turns it into a noticeably more solid build. The most important change is the fix for the UEFI boot issue reported by the community, which prevented a number of modern machines from starting the live image at all. Alongside it, this candidate brings Windows BitLocker support, a deeper integration between GTK4 applications and the classic window decorations that define the look of the distribution, and a round of corrections in the Software Center that make browsing and installing Flatpak applications behave as expected. It is the last stop before the stable release of the 3.0 series, and the moment where the remaining details get polished with the help of the testers.

• Fixed the issue that prevented LibreOffice from using the correct light or dark icon theme.
• Added GTK-NoCSD, which forces every GTK4 and Adwaita based application (including their Flatpak versions) to use our own title bar and window decorations.
• Added a new background service that replaces the taskbar and window icon of Google Chrome with the original icon.
• Added support for Windows BitLocker.
• Fixed the issue that made the text on system notification buttons invisible in dark mode.
• Changed the automatic update check timer of Softwared to run every 24 hours.
• Fixed the missing screenshots in the Software Center, caused by the wrong order of the events in the Flatpak synchronization function of Softwared.
• Fixed the duplicated identical screenshots shown for Flatpak applications in the Software Center.
• Added an installation entry for Godot Engine in the Development category.
• Made the width of every GTK3 scrollbar dynamic, so they stay thin by default and expand when hovered or dragged.
• Fixed the issue that prevented the mouse cursor from changing to the spinning circle when launching applications from the Quicklaunch plugin.
• Changed the login sound to play at 70% volume.
• Fixed the issue that prevented UEFI mode from working.
