Android not recognized by Kumander

Hello Gmca66 and welcome to the forum. Thank you for the kind words. After Kumander Linux 1.1, we wanted to reduce the (rather bloated) size of the ISO file (4.8GB). So we carefully stripped away all unnecessary packages and media files. And we got it down to 3.5GB. However, it looks like we might h...

Support for UEFI boot

Update: In order to make UEFI work when creating the USB, you must follow these steps: Using Rufus: Select the ISO in Rufus. Set Partition scheme to GPT (for UEFI). Set File system to FAT32 (for UEFI compatibility). Set Target system to UEFI (non-CSM). Click Start and burn the ISO. If you are using ...

Support for UEFI boot

That is quite odd. I can confirm that UEFI support is included on the ISO. However, I have not tested it with actual hardware, but only using Oracle VirtualBox. Did you download the latest version (2.0 Bulalo from Mar 5, 2025) from https://www.kumander.org/download-kumander-linux? If you try to extr...

When I change appearence the UI doesn't change

Kumander Linux is designed to look the way that it looks out of the box, which is a style that is inspired by Windows 7.

Users are naturally free to download and install whatever templates they like, but there is no guarantee if they will work or not.

Pale moon should be the default browser instead of chrome

Perhaps we will do this later.

For now, users are free to install anything they like from the Software Center, including Chromium and Pale Moon.

Support for UEFI boot

Please excuse the delay, there were some unexpected matters that I had to solve.

The final ISO has been released just now. Hope you like it. ^^

Pale moon should be the default browser instead of chrome

Indeed, that looks pretty good with Pale Moon.

However, Kumander is aimed at people wanting to switch from Windows to Linux. Most users on Windows use Chrome. It is for this reason that Chrome is the default browser.

But thank you for the suggestion.

Roy

Support for UEFI boot

Hello Karstein and welcome to the forum.

I am just about finished creating the final version of the Kumander Linux 2.0 ISO file. It does indeed have this fix and UEFI boot works.

So please hang on for a day or two, and the new ISO will be available to download on the download page.

Regards,
Roy
