Kumander Linux

I'm a long time Linux user and distro hopper from IL (USA). Just wanted to say hi and to say that Kumander is my favorite Debian/XFCE distro at present. I feel that it is near perfect and I hope it stays around for a long time. I have recommended it to a lot of my friends who are still Windows users...

I just did a fresh install of Kumander 1.1, rebooted, and run "sudo apt update" & then "sudo apt upgrade" in terminal. I then rebooted to find that instead of the login screen there is only a black screen with a blinking cursor. I did another install on another drive with ide...

That was it! Synaptic says no mo' updates available after taking 117 without a hiccup.
I think 1.1 should be OK too unless you know of other problems (?).

It sure sounds like a lot of work, Roy. However, Kumander is such a good distro that I'm sure it is worth the effort. I've got 24 Linux drives and Kumander is my favorite at this time. As for things getting changed by updates, I guess I haven't looked close enough because I didn't notice any change ...
