Kumander Linux 1.0 Release Candidate 2 is now ready for download.
Changes in this release:
Added Welcome Screen to help users easily learn the basics of Kumander Linux
All proprietary Win7 icons (Computer, Notepad, Calculator, Graphics Category) changed to non-proprietary
Start menu button's appearance upgraded
Added full support for Flatpak (Software Center, command line)
Added latest version of Google Chrome (113.0.5672.63)
Made Google Chrome the default browser
Added Steam games platform
Upgraded Libreoffice 7.3.7.2 to 7.4.6.2
Added 281 templates to Libreoffice Impress
Upgraded Blender 3.3.1 to 3.5.1
Upgraded Inkscape 1.0.2 to 1.2.2
Added Kdenlive 23.04.0 Video Editor
Added VLC Media Player 3.0.18
Added reverse engineered clone of original Windows 7 Space Cadet Pinball
Added 238 screen savers
Added Snes9x Super Nintendo emulator
Added Commodore PET, VIC-20, 64 and 128 emulators

Updated mouse cursor theme because of low visibility when hovering over text (i.e. in the terminal)
Fixed wrong mouse cursor theme in login screen
Fixed issue which would make XFCE Panel crash every time a launcher was added or removed
Created and added a more appropriate icon for the Software Center

Hello jim-r and welcome to the forum.
All the other distros use other browsers, such as Firefox, Brave, Vivaldi etc, as default browser.
Kumander Linux is made to be particularly easy for Windows users to get started with Linux. And as we know, if you come from Windows, you are most likely using Google Chrome as your default browser.
After some time, they will hopefully switch to an open source browser, such as those mentioned above.
