Installation or live mode

Post by schmitter »

Good evening, I'm from Brazil, is there a way to install the distro or just via pendrive in live mode?

Greetings from the Philippines and welcome to the forum.

I was actually considering adding an install option to the live mode, but I didn't get to it yet. Hopefully it will be added to the final 1.0 release.

For now, the only way to install Kumander Linux is using the boot option.

Regards,
Roy

Hello there and welcome to the forum.

Yes, I have already had a fair look at Calamares. But I am not sure it will play well with the Debian installer in the boot menu.

I think it might need a whole other set of binaries to do the install, making the resulting ISO file much bigger than needed.

However, thanks for the suggestion. I will look into it!

Regards,
Roy

The option to use Calamares would be to use after entering the Kumander Linux, put an icon in the Kumander Linux work area.

Hello from Thailand. A Filipino living and working abroad. I use Linux as my daily driver and happy to test run this OS and might end up as my alternative Linux OS in my old dinosaur laptop HP15 (2010-13 model). In the next few days or weeks I'll be featuring this Linux OS in my YouTube, Odysee and Rumber video content channels under the brand "rialbbe tv".
