Support for UEFI boot
I would like to install Kumander linux on my UEFI pc but it cannot boot from the installation media as it is now. Can you please fix it so it can boot on UEFI systems too_
Is there a temporary fix I could use?

Hello Karstein and welcome to the forum.
I am just about finished creating the final version of the Kumander Linux 2.0 ISO file. It does indeed have this fix and UEFI boot works.
So please hang on for a day or two, and the new ISO will be available to download on the download page.
Regards,
Roy

Please excuse the delay, there were some unexpected matters that I had to solve.
The final ISO has been released just now. Hope you like it. ^^

That is quite odd. I can confirm that UEFI support is included on the ISO. However, I have not tested it with actual hardware, but only using Oracle VirtualBox.
Did you download the latest version (2.0 Bulalo from Mar 5, 2025) from download-kumander-linux? If you try to extract the ISO to the disk, you'll see the "EFI/boot" folder in the root directory. So it should work... hmmm.
I will investigate this and test it on a physical computer. Thanks for the feedback.

Update: In order to make UEFI work when creating the USB, you must follow these steps:
Using Rufus:
Hope this helps.
Using Rufus:
- Select the ISO in Rufus.
- Set Partition scheme to GPT (for UEFI).
- Set File system to FAT32 (for UEFI compatibility).
- Set Target system to UEFI (non-CSM).
- Click Start and burn the ISO.
Hope this helps.
I did do the steps you mentioned but there was no sign of any .efi files. Maybe I got the RC2 version, I'm downloading it again directly from your link and will give it a new try.
Update: Yes, now that I got the correct ISO it boots on a pure UEFI system, all looks good. Thank you very much
